The Zombie axiom (In the time of the dead) by David Monette
5 stars.
A nice twist on my favourite genre, zombies. This book has all of the things I like to make a great read, good, varied and realistic personalities, Good versus bad, lots of gunsmoke and violence. It also drew me from page to page, always wanting to see what becomes of the three main characters, a martial arts expert, a mute and a fat black woman.
The book managed to stay away from the ever increasingly popular, high kicking, perfectly formed, school dropout, teenage Kung Fu expert that falls in love. All the better for it.
The Zombies get a leader and he wants the world, only our intrepid group can stop him. A great fun rollercoaster ride.
Thanks David
