Review of The Traveller by Garret Addison.
2 stars
Garret was kind enough to give me a free copy of this to review, however, this does not mean that I will automatically give a good review.
The traveller started quite nicely, the hard pressed businessman juggling work and life, but failing to make headway anywhere in his life. The book, for me, went downhill from there. It’s well written, but lacks an enthralling tale. Capitalist does good, wrapped up in a dream, left me cold.
The main character never grew on me and his hateful boss was too unrealistic, the scenarios just didn’t work, too false for a real situation. It never grabbed me, the hate he felt for his boss was far too extreme.
I read to the end, but felt a nonchalant dislike for the main character and for the book as well.
Sorry Garret, I promised you an honest review.
